I’m interested in a position which brings together complex technical problems in the cloud computing, big data, analytics, and mobile space while requiring a “Jack of all trades”, get things done, personality. My Ideal position is customer facing or product management and requires collaborates with multiple levels of the business vertical.
Passion to leave the world a better place is what drives me- passion to learn, innovate, and excel in implementing a superior product. In my current responsibilities with my start-up ruly, I have been able to plan, staff, implement, and control the project with laser focus. Because of the service ruly provides, I am able to bring order and navigability to customers’ unruly snapshots, automatically finding the best pictures, and editing them beautifully. After 350k processed photos, growing a team to 9 people and reaching all but one milestone I’ve made the difficult decision to take the experience and refocus it towards my next undertaking.
Similar to this, as a Product Design Engineer at KLA-Tencor the past 7 years, I have planned, staffed, and controlled numerous projects ranging from small scale ventures to products amassing multiple billions of dollars in revenue. As of April 2015, I have the responsibility for 21 different products.

Annual Review Comments
Joel has become the go to person for engineering, operations, and Global support.
Beyond being a member of the “A” team, Joel works with multiple functional teams including software development, IMC, controls, operations, GSS
High Performance Teams - Joel is a team player and is not interested in the spotlight.
Joel is clear and direct when communicating, provides consistent points of view, and easily approachable during discussions.
He works for the benefit of the team and the company.
Excellent communication skills and works well across all organizations; engineering, operations…

Joel is always looking for ways to be more efficient. He looks for ways to simplify and automate processes to remove human error and provide a better product. He takes necessary risks, but uses his experience to know what risks to take.
Joel exceeded my expectation of gaining knowledge.
Joel has excelled within his current position and successfully supported XP/IDA hardware development/improvement and installs/upgrades.
He is always looking for ways to improve himself as well as the products he supports. From a business standpoint, his daily efforts affect our customers and profits in a positive manner. He is well respected by his peers and all those he interacts with. He can always be counted on to do the right thing, do it with integrity, and see it through to completion.
Joel is a custom to working under pressure and always remains calm while focusing on the task at hand.
He can always be counted on to take ownership and follow through to completion. When he hits a roadblock, he knows how to escalate and bring the necessary resources onboard to move forward.
Joel stepped up to support XP/IDA racks for 29xx and 9xxx tool installs, all tasks outside his current position, spending over 80 days travelling to customer sites.
This required many hours of travel to support each customer site, sometimes being out of the country for weeks at a time.
He understands the importance of getting the problems solved as quickly as possible and works hard to accomplish this, including putting his own personal life on hold to fly to the customer site to fix it personally.
Perseverance - Joel understands the importance of satisfying our customers, both internal and external.
His efforts have directly contributed to customer sign off on tools and in turn, to KT's bottom line.
He delivered everything on time with no impacts to program schedules.
He always solves the problem.
He has shown his dedication time and time again. If and when he can't solve it on his own, he takes ownership to ensure the right people are consulted to get it resolved. He is by definition and by action, indispensable.
Joel exceeded my expectations. Outstanding job!

Joel can always be counted on to support our customers.
Honest, Forthright, and Consistent, what more can I say.
Excellence, not average, is my measure. Transforming something strong into something superb invigorates me. Strengths, whether mine or someone else’s, fascinates me. A glimpse of untutored excellence, rapid learning, a skill mastered without recourse to steps—all these are clues that this strength is in play. And having found a strength, I feel compelled to nurture it, refine it, and stretch it toward excellence. I want to capitalize on my gifts and polish them. It’s more fun. It’s more productive. And, counterintuitively, it is more demanding.
My Achiever theme helps explain my drive. Achiever describes a constant need for achievement. Every day starts at zero. I have an internal fire burning inside. It pushes me to do more, to achieve more. It brings the energy I need to work long hours without burning out. It is the jolt I can always count on to get me started on new tasks, new challenges. It is the power supply that causes me to set the pace and define the levels of productivity for my work group. It is the theme that keeps me moving.
“Wouldn’t it be great if . . .” I’m the kind of person who loves to peer over the horizon. The future fascinates me. As if it were projected on the wall, I see in detail what the future might hold, and this detailed picture keeps pulling me forward, into tomorrow. While the exact content of the picture will depend on the situation—a better product, a better team, a better life, or a better world—it will always be inspirational to me. I am a dreamer who sees visions of what could be and who cherishes those visions. I conjure up visions of the future and they energize me. They can energize others, too. In fact, very often people look to me to describe my visions of the future. They want a picture that can raise their sights and thereby their spirits. I can paint it for them.
Winning others over
Winning others over. I enjoy the challenge of meeting new people and getting them to like me. Strangers are rarely intimidating. On the contrary, strangers are energizing. I want to learn their names, ask them questions, and find some area of common interest so that I can strike up a conversation and build rapport. Not only am I rarely at a loss for words; I actually enjoy initiating with strangers because I derive satisfaction from breaking the ice and making a connection. In my world there are no strangers, only colleagues and friends I haven’t met.
